Basic Functions:
Assists in the planning, design, documentation, and implementation of various systems to include desktop PC’s, servers, network equipment, phone systems, and software applications.
Assists NOC in ensuring installation and integrity for all backups(workstation, server and cloud).
Monitors, plans, and coordinates the distribution of client/server software and service packs.
Performs on-site and remote technical support.
Assists in the organization and inventory of all hardware and software resources.
Maintains excellent communication with the Operations Manager, Project Manager, Account Managers, and clientele on all tasks and projects.
Creates and maintains good technical documentation.
Participates in after-hours on-call support on a rotating schedule.
Performs frequent service audits; identifies inefficiencies; provides recommendations; and implements efficiencies to minimize end-user disruptions.
Assists the Account Manager with IT project management, research, scope document writings, and maintaining service levels.
Provides end-user training and writes end-user SOPs to enhance productivity. Additional Duties and
Responsibilities:
Focus to Improve customer service, perception, and satisfaction.
Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
Escalate service issues that cannot be completed within agreed service levels.
Communicate to customers: keeping them informed of progress, notifying them of impending changes, agreed outages, etc.
Maintain specific knowledge of the customer and how IT relates to their business strategy and goals.
Develop in-depth knowledge of the service catalog and how it relates to customer’s needs.
Responsible for entering time and expenses in ConnectWise as they occur.
Work through a daily schedule in ConnectWise that has been established through the dispatch process.
Understand processes in ConnectWise by completing assigned training materials and blueprints on the ConnectWise University.
Enter all work as service tickets in ConnectWise.
Review IT publications and online materials to remain up-to-date with current and future technologies emerging in the industry.
Obtain IT industry certifications as part of continuing education.
Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required:
Professional IT Certifications, such as: Microsoft MCP, MCSA, or MCSE, WatchGuard Security.
Exchange Online and Office 365 experience: examples include Send/Receive Connectors, Exchange Server/ Office 365 migrations, troubleshooting mail flow issues.
Microsoft Teams administration.
Intune MDM – Conditional Access, configuration and compliance policies.
Virtualization Experience: primarily Microsoft Hyper-V; experience with installation & support.
Firewall Experience: Installing, configuring & supporting Watchguard technologies. Familiarity with policy driven firewalls.
Network Switching Experience: installing, configuring & supporting managed switches with VLANs & routing. Familiarity with routing is a must.
Interpersonal skills: such as telephony skills, communication skills, active listening and customer-care.
Diagnosis skills of technical issues.
Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly.
Technical awareness: ability to match resources to technical issues appropriately.
Service awareness of all organization’s key IT services for which support is being provided.
Understanding of support tools, techniques, and how technology is used to provide IT services.
Typing skills to ensure quick and accurate entry of service request details.
Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience
Recommendations:
BA/BS, preferably in computer science, or a related field.
5 Years of IT experience.
